Updated Childhood Immunization Schedule in the PH

With the goal of reducing morbidity and mortality among children against the most common vaccine-preventable diseases, the Department of Health released an updated and improved schedule of immunization as follows:


BCG: given at birth
Hepa B: given at birth
Pentavalent Vaccine: given at 1.5months, 2,5months and 3.5months
Oral Polio Vaccine: given at 1.5months, 2,5months and 3.5months
Inactivated Polio Vaccine: given at 3.5months
Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine: given at 1.5months, 2,5months and 3.5months
Measles: given at 9months
Measles, Mumps, Rubella: given at 12-15months

Two additional vaccines namely Inactivated Polio Vaccine and Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine are also now given for free in all health centers nationwide. For more information, go to your nearest health center. :)
